It's been two weeks since the anime adaptation for Goblin Slayer have started and it has been riddled with controversy. However, while people bitch and complain about the rape content, i'm here bitching and complaining how the anime cut so many corners from the original source material that it cheapens the selling point of the entire series. To put it into context, recall a movie you thoroughly enjoyed before and if you were forced to shrink its running time to 20+ minutes, what parts of that movie will you remove? Just to give an example, one of the recent blockbuster hit that people loved lately would be Marvel's Infinity War. It has a good mix of humor, action, and progression. Now if I were to shrink it to a 20 minute runtime, i'd remove the humor entirely and remove some bits of progression. That will give me a sunmarized format of that movie in under 20 mins but it would have lost its soul in the process. And that's the treatment that
